Built-in & Bathroom
Clean Modern

Grandma’s suite was designed to feel calm, uncluttered, and easy to live in. The goal wasn’t to make a statement. It was to give her a bedroom and bathroom where everything has a place, nothing is hard to reach, and the whole space feels light the moment you walk in. At the center of it is a built-in armoire that does the work of an entire closet, and a bathroom that keeps the same quiet, clean-lined approach.
Builder: Burg Homes LLC
Designer: Stone House Collective
The suite is built around a crisp, clean white. The armoire is finished in a smooth painted white with a simple crown molding along the top and a gently shaped base along the floor, so it reads as a piece of fine furniture rather than a wall of cabinets. Against soft blue-lavender walls and pale carpet, the white keeps the room bright and restful.
Brushed nickel bar pulls tie the armoire to the bathroom hardware, so the two rooms feel like one continuous suite. In the bathroom, the white vanity and marble-look penny-round floor tile stay quiet, with a soft gray-green subway tile in the shower as the one gentle touch of color.
Installing this armoire presented a challenge: it’s a large piece of cabinetry that needed to get into a bedroom through a standard hallway. The answer was to build it in two parts, a lower section of drawers and a separate top section added on once it was in the room.
Next door, a single vanity with a mix of drawers and a two-door cabinet provides storage right at the sink, finished with a soft glow of lighting under the vanity that doubles as a night light. An oval mirror flanked by sconces, a walk-in shower with a glass door, and simple towel bars keep sightlines clean and everything within easy reach.
This suite was built for a home in Green Lake, designed in collaboration with the team at Stonehouse Collective. It’s proof that simple doesn’t mean unconsidered: Bigfoot Construction brings the same craftsmanship to quiet rooms as to statement ones, for homeowners throughout Eastern Wisconsin, including Appleton, Madison, Milwaukee, Kohler, Elkhart Lake, and Green Bay. If a guest or family suite in your home needs storage that fits the space and the person who uses it, reach out to start the conversation.
